Astrick Goussian est née en 1950 à Kirovakan (aujourd'hui Vanadzor) en Arménie.
Elle commence par étudier à l'école des beaux Arts de sa ville natale avant de rejoindre la faculté de design de l'institut National des Beaux Arts de Yerevan (capitale du pays) où elle obtient un diplôme d'ingénieur designer en 1973.
En 1993, elle vient vivre en France et s'installe dans la Drôme.
Depuis 2003, Elle a exposé dans de nombreux lieux de la région Rhône-Alpes et certains de ses tableaux ont voyagé jusqu'aux États-Unis, la Russie, l'Allemagne, le Canada, la Grèce, la Suisse ou l'Arménie.
The painting of Astrick is, above all, a whole vital need for her: a need to crystallize her perception of life by the means of a visual language.
The heart of this language consists of a variety of meetings and exchanges:
Between lines and colors,
realism and abstraction,
spontaneousness and control,
figurative elements and symbols,
movement and immobility,
various techniques on various supports.
The artist seeks before all resonance in the heart of the spectator, by putting in scene her vision of the human being, its major nature, and her relationship with her surroundings.
